Sveza completes the purchase of the Tyumen Plywood Mill
“The purchase of the Tyumen Plywood Mill is yet another step in implementation of SVEZA’s strategy to increase production capacity including by means of expanding the portfolio of assets with a high growth potential”, saysAnatoly Frishman, SVEZA’s CEO. “We are planning to gradually integrate this business into our company’s structure by unifying best practices that we and the purchased asset possess. We believe the annual production capacity of the Tyumen mill can be increased up to 120 thousand cubic meters.”
Denis Trufakin has been appointed the director of the Tyumen Plywood Mill.
Mr. Trufakin was born in 1984 in Alapayevsk, Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia. In 2007, he graduated from the Ural State Forest Engineering University as an engineer specializing in forestry machines and equipment. Since 2007, he has worked at SVEZA Verkhnyaya Sinyachikha mill in the areas of process/quality engineering, maintenance, production management & planning, and investments.
Note: In 2018, SVEZA’s investments in core assets will amount 12.2 billion roubles (USD 215 million). The main priority areas of company’s development include: development of the existing production of large-sized plywood, construction of several co-generation plants, integrated investment into maintenance and development of its sewage treatment plants and other environmental facilities. The production plan of SVEZA envisages manufacturing over 1.15 million cubic meters of birch plywood in 2018.
